Ian Sirias

Ian’s students thrive based on the sheer force of his enthusiasm, infectious joy and love of music. They love his easy going nature with lessons centered around their interests and constantly building on their strengths. Ian's classical piano training runs deep with a UVic degree and Conservatory diploma, and he brings that foundation to every style from rock to jazz. He also teaches beginner and intermediate guitar for students looking to pick up a second instrument.

With over a decade of teaching experience he’s guided hundreds of students of all ages towards an easier path for them specifically rather than a one size fits all approach. He has been through the rigours of over a decade in formal educational institutions and passes what he’s learned on to his students in light-hearted, easy-to-digest chunks based on their learning needs rather than a rigid disciplined system.

He’s become part of the iconography of Victoria constantly spotted by his students out for a rip on his longboard with his long hair flowing in the breeze and belting out lyrics over distorted guitars alongside his young students at recitals.
