Bela Chavez

Bela’s students are as versatile as her abilities. New students can try their hand at six separate instruments, and she’ll be there to take them down the path for years on whatever instrument clicks. Young students benefit from her ability to keep lessons fun and engaging with games and flash cards, and older students rave over her patient, structured approach as she makes complex pieces feel easy. No matter the student’s age, experience, or instrument, Bela leans into positive reinforcement as the backbone of her methodology. With inspiration from the Suzuki Method, she focuses on listening, curiosity, and celebrating the little wins throughout the entire process while keeping an eye towards the students’ goals.

Currently completing studies in Early Learning and Childcare, Bela brings a strong understanding of child development and pedagogy to her teaching. She also plays in a Latin Rock Band and knows how to get more experienced students to where they need to be to play in a group setting. Bela teaches students in Langford, Colwood, and across the West Shore, and is passionate about helping musicians build a lifelong love of music.

Los estudiantes de Bela son tan versátiles como sus habilidades. Los nuevos estudiantes pueden probar seis instrumentos diferentes y ella estará ahí para acompañarlos durante años en el que más les conecte. Los más jóvenes se benefician de su capacidad para mantener las lecciones divertidas con juegos y tarjetas didácticas; los más grandes valoran su enfoque paciente y estructurado que hace que piezas complejas se sientan fáciles. Sin importar la edad, experiencia o instrumento, Bela se apoya en el refuerzo positivo como base de su metodología. Con inspiración del Método Suzuki, se enfoca en la escucha, la curiosidad y celebrar cada pequeño logro a lo largo del proceso, siempre con la mirada puesta en las metas del estudiante. Actualmente cursando estudios en Educación y Cuidado Infantil Temprano, Bela aporta una sólida comprensión del desarrollo infantil y la pedagogía a su enseñanza. También toca en una banda de Rock Latino y sabe cómo preparar a estudiantes más avanzados para tocar en grupo. Bela enseña en Langford, Colwood y toda la zona de West Shore.
